Jakarta Transportation Agency announced that there will be no Car Free Day on October 13 and 20, 2024.

The decision is taken related to two big events namely Jakarta Running Fest 2024 on October 13 and Inauguration of President and Vice President on October 20.
Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo said Car Free Day can be cancelled if there are national and international scale activities that require special traffic arrangements. It is based on Article 5 Paragraph 1 of Governor Regulation No 12/2016.
"Transportation Agency as the Head of Car Free Day Implementation Team recommends the cancellation of Car Free Day on both dates for the sake of smoothness of the events," he said, Thursday (10/10).
He hopes that the public will understand this policy and continue to support the events to run smoothly.
